I'm Sumukha — a Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science) student. I build pipelines, systems, and small tools that take raw input and make it structured.
Two things define how I work right now: an AI-based pothole detection system I'm building to catch road damage from image data, and an ETL pipeline that scrapes, cleans, and loads book data into PostgreSQL end to end.
Both are about the same thing — taking raw, unstructured input and turning it into something structured and usable.
An end-to-end ETL pipeline that scrapes book data from BooksToScrape with BeautifulSoup, then cleans, validates, and standardizes it before loading into PostgreSQL via SQLAlchemy — structured as a modular Extract–Transform–Load pipeline and version-controlled on GitHub.
Contributing to the development of an AI-based pothole detection system that identifies road surface defects from smartphone-captured images and videos. Responsible for collecting and organizing road-condition datasets, preparing data for model training, and exploring computer vision techniques to improve detection accuracy under varying road and lighting conditions. Collaborating with the team to evaluate model performance and enhance detection reliability through continuous experimentation.
